 Murray River Houseboats is a family owned business, situated on the banks of the picturesque Murray River. We offer personalized, professional service, and spotless modern houseboats, designed for cruising, comfort and personal pleasure including the big, luxurious, new Hakuna Matata, (it means no worries….), launched in December 06, and the smaller “Ruby”, who offer panoramic views from the top decks.
The gentle, meandering Murray River is an idyllic setting for a holiday of a lifetime. You can drop anchor and relax in a secluded hide-away, or you can explore the plethora of restaurants, taverns, cafes, historical sites, islands with protected wildlife, or perhaps visit the vibrant cappuccino strip in central Mandurah? The choice is yours.
On arrival you are met by our friendly staff and settled onto your houseboat, with your car locked in a secure compound. You then receive a comprehensive briefing which lasts approximately one hour, concluding with a boat driving trial. By this time you are confident and competent with the use of anchors, ropes, chart reading etc. For many un-initiated “boaties” this is the start of learning new skills and valuable life experiences, converting landlubbers to ardent sailors. Our houseboats are easily handled by two adults, and can accommodate between 2 – 10 people. |
